Clinical supervision
My approach to clinical supervision is grounded in collaboration, genuine connection, and a deep respect for the complexity of therapeutic work. I aim to create a supervisory space that is compassionate, warm, and uplifting, where clinicians feel supported to think critically, reflect deeply, and grow into their own clinical voice. I work from a strengths-based, trauma-informed, and non-pathologizing lens, with attention to nervous system awareness, relational safety, and ethical practice.
I integrate a range of therapeutic modalities into supervision, including Internal Family Systems (IFS; Level 1), EMDR, polyvagal theory, and art therapy, while remaining responsive to the clinician’s theoretical orientation and the needs of the populations they serve. I provide supervision for clinicians working with individuals and groups across the lifespan (ages 4+), and tailor supervision to developmental level, clinical complexity, and professional context.
A central focus of my supervisory work is supporting clinicians in developing an ongoing reflective practice—the capacity to thoughtfully examine one’s clinical decisions, emotional responses, use of self, and relational dynamics in order to enhance ethical judgment, clinical effectiveness, and self-awareness over time. Reflective practice is understood not as self-criticism, but as a compassionate and curious stance toward one’s work, informed by both theory and lived experience.
I bring over eight years of experience providing supervision across varying levels of training within the helping professions. I am a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and a Professional Art Therapist with the Canadian Art Therapy Association (CATA), and I meet the requirements to provide supervision for CRPO student and RP(Q) hours.
